HowToWrite > Phrase Starts With Regarding
Ever start a sentence by saying "Regarding the widget project,"? Well, guess what, the important part of the sentence came after your weak opening there. Do you really need to have that "regarding" phrase there? Well, you do, if it is:
- unclear what the sentence is about from the context
- unclear what the sentence is about from the sentence itself
If those two things are true, I'd suggest you have large problems that you need to solve otherwise. If neither of those two things is true, then get to the point! Drop that "regarding" phrase!
