About > About This Site
Cleverbird.com is a wiki in which I keep all of the stuff I really should remember (not the stuff I need to remember to do, I keep that in Outlook, the stuff I need to remember because some day it will be useful).
What Kind of Stuff Do You Need To Remember Anyway?
To be corny, life is all about learning. Some of the learning is explicit and in school (see especially Academic Resources, Job Search Tips, and Leadership Techniques); some is life-long (see especially Food). If it was worth me learning once, it's probably worth me remembering.
But, with life being busy and the world being filled with a massive excess of vitally important information, well, it's really easy to forget stuff. So I write it all down. Better here than on a series of irregularly-shaped scraps of paper.
Why a Wiki?
I like categorizing things. I outline for fun. So, basically, what's not to love about a tool that's easy-to-use and automatically creates categories for your information and links between different bits of your information for you?
Hey, What About Those Ads?
I'm a poor, desperate student. I'll take whatever I can get.
Seriously, in theory, at least, these ads will contain content relevant to the page you're looking at (like the "Great deals on Edit Shop on eBay and Save!" ad I see as I edit this entry). Since this site is all about information and that information's links to other information, well, maybe the ads for related stuff will add to the sum of that information.
If not, hey, ignore the entire sidebar.
